Peat Surprises!

 

From time to time we come across the occasional gator, turtle, or other wildlife that is struggling to find water in an area that is quickly drying up.  Some of these pictures are "rescue" efforts.  Some are just surprises we've come across that have been buried in the peat for hundreds (thousands?) of years!
